Carlos Martinez is the most recent employee to be honored by Community Hospital of Huntington Park with the Exemplary Employee Award for February. The award recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate their commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Martinez joined Huntington Park in April 2024 and is a Registered Nurse working in the Intensive Care Unit. He was nominated by five co-workers who had this to say:
“Carlos not only goes above and beyond for all his patients, but also he shows the same effort with his peers. He is always willing to help and lend a hand to a fellow nurse or anyone in need!”
“Carlos goes above and beyond for his patients as well as staff. He is helpful to everyone and always accommodates the needs of the unit. He is a leader with new graduates and student nurses.”
“There was a time a patient was so upset, AMA out of here, but before she left, she said tell him I said thank you for everything. This is just one of the examples I have witnessed. As a co-worker he makes sure all orders are in. When I take a patient from him, they are always happy and more than satisfied with him.”
“Carlos is an amazing preceptor, very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. He is always willing to help in any way he can. I’ve learned a lot from him, and he helped me build solid foundation in my nursing career.”
“Carlos is ALWAYS going above and beyond for BOTH his patients and his co-workers. Carlos always has a positive attitude and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He floats to wherever he is needed and is the definition of an exemplary employee.”
