Raising the Health of Huntington Park

Supporting our neighbors is a central part of our mission at Community Hospital of Huntington Park. Ongoing patient education and community health events improve the overall health of our communities. Community Hospital of Huntington Park not only provides healthcare to underserved areas but also serves as a healthcare hub. Regular community events, such as Carnaval Primavera, Sabor De Mexico, our annual medical camp, and ongoing health screenings keep us busy serving our friends and neighbors. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to provide outstanding education and care to those in need. We enjoy being part of such an active community.

Preparing the next generation of caregivers and setting them up for success is something we are also passionate about. We want to continue to improve the communities we love so much.

We continuously partner with several established nursing schools in their clinical rotations and our ED Medical Director serves as a preceptor to the USC PA Program. We also have a deep, long-standing relationship with local school Louis Esperanza High School (HPIAM). Every year, dozens of our staff members grade their senior presentations. At various times, multiple staff members are invited to their career days to speak to students. And recently, they helped us distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks, hand sanitizer, etc., during the start of the COVID-19 crisis. We cherish our relationship with the school, and it is a joy to see the students so passionate about learning.
