Maria Paramo is the recipient of our hopsital’s Exemplary Employee Award for June. The award recognizes employee commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Paramo is a Charge Nurse on our Telemetry Unit. She came to work here in June 2016.
Following is what her nominator had to say:
“Maria Paramo is the reason the nursing station runs so well. She is determined to make sure that what needs to get done gets done. She is compassionate to all those around her, whether that’s something as simple as making sure a patient’s needs are met, that important information is received, or just to support a colleague,
“Maria’s problem-solving and humanistic approach to medicine is why we work. Her collaborative team spirit makes sure that no one is left behind, even if that means she takes on patients herself while being the charge nurse. She thrives in chaos, and we appreciate her skills as a team player, a team leader and as a genuinely good hu
man that cares deeply about her work. I am very blessed to work with such a nurse and patient advocate.”
