Maria “Eliza” Paredes is our Exemplary Employee for the month of May. She is a Charge Nurse II in the Emergency Department who joined the Huntington Park hospital in February 2013.
The award recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate their commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Following is what Paredes’ nominator had to say:
Eliza consistently brings a positive attitude to the Emergency Department. She is a true leader who is always willing to assist us with any issues that arise during our shifts. Her extensive knowledge is shared generously, and she is an educator at heart. When any problems arise, she always helps us de-escalate any situation. Her patience and kindness are truly commendable.
